Corrections Policy

PapersAdda makes factual errors. When we do, we correct them publicly and fast. This page documents what qualifies as a correction, how to submit one, what the 48-hour response means, and how we record changes in the public audit trail.

48-hour response SLA

Verified corrections are applied and published within 48 hours of a confirmed report.

Dated correction notes

Every corrected article carries a visible "Updated on" date and a brief note on what changed.

Public GitHub history

Every content change - corrections included - is visible in the commit log of the public repository.

What qualifies as a correction

A salary or CTC figure that does not match a primary source (official career page, verified offer letter).
An exam pattern (sections, question count, time) that changed in the current hiring cycle.
An eligibility criterion (CGPA cutoff, graduation year, active backlog rule) that is outdated.
A cutoff score or percentile that has been officially revised.
A named candidate statement attributed incorrectly or to the wrong company / role.
A factual claim about exam fees, deadlines, or registration windows that has changed.

What does not qualify

×Disagreement with our editorial framing or editorial opinion on preparation strategy.
×A salary number from an anonymous source that we already label "candidate-reported".
×A request to add your coaching service, course, or referral link to an article.
×Grammar, style, or phrasing preferences that do not affect factual accuracy.

How to submit a correction

Email editorial@papersadda.com with the following:

1The URL of the article containing the error.
2The exact claim that is incorrect (copy the sentence or quote the table cell).
3Your primary source: a URL to the official career page, offer letter, or verified candidate thread that contradicts the claim.
4Your name or handle (optional - anonymous corrections are reviewed the same way, but we cannot respond to you without contact details).

What happens after you submit

We check the claim against the source you provided and against the verification gate logs. If the claim was flagged by the gate and not yet remediated, it moves to the top of the ledger queue.

If the correction is confirmed, we edit the article, add a dated correction note ("Updated on [date]: revised [field] from X to Y based on [source]"), and push the change to master. The GitHub commit message records the correction rationale. We do not silently overwrite content.

If the claim was already labeled "candidate-reported" or "per candidate threads" and your source does not contradict those labels specifically, we may decline to reclassify. We will explain why in the response email.

How the verification gate reduces corrections

Since 2026-05-24, every article commit passes a deterministic two-stage verification gate before the Cloudflare Pages deploy runs. Stage 1 extracts every falsifiable claim (salary figures, percentages, exam dates, eligibility numbers). Stage 2 assigns each claim a status and blocks the deploy on any unverified HIGH-risk assertion that has no adjacent disclosure. The full spec is at /editorial-standards/.

The gate reduces but does not eliminate errors. Primary sources can be wrong or outdated. Bot-blocked sources mean the gate cannot verify a claim even when it is correct. The corrections process above is the reader-side complement to the automated gate.
